Delayed Coker Unit
DCM was the E&I contractor for the addition of 2 new cokers. Work was executed in 2 stages. The first phase was the greenfield assembly of the smaller modules into larger modules (groups of 2-4). This was done to minimize the work required in the operating plant, ultimately reducing the hazards. The second stage involved completing the interconnections of the component modules in the live plant while maintaining regular operation. This included the installation of all required trunk cabling and tray systems, live tie-ins, EHT, and precommissioning of the added capacity.

Since 2009, DCM works closely with the team from U2 Maintenance to ensure maximum operational readiness of the facility in the downstream process area and utilities. In 2015, DCM took over the management of all trades in an effort to further streamline the maintenance process and increase cost efficiency. At present, DCM's mandate includes regular and emergency maintenance activities, shop fabrication, planning and quality control.

DCM was awarded a contract for the installation and pre-commissioning of the new GE Cogen facility at the Horizon site which includes all phases and trades.

DCM was mandated to complete a scope of work associated with the new H2CO2 site under construction at the Horizon facility. This scope of work was awarded to DCM based on its expertise and extensive knowledge of the facility.
The scope comprises mechanical & piping construction activities, including installation, punch items, hydrotesting, reinstatement, and specialty welding associated with the reformer furnace (ASME Section 1 welding).
