On December 18, a press conference was held in Magog for the inaugural of Novanergy’s new offices. Magog’s mayor, Mrs. Vicky May Hamm, as well as some city employees and many local medias, attended the opening. The City of Magog and the CLD of the Memphremagog MRC welcomed the introduction of the new factory now located in the industrial park. The energy sector is a new industry emerging in the region of Memphremagog. "We chose Magog, not only because of its geographical location, which is close to the U.S. market, but also because of its unique environment in Quebec," declared Marc-Antoine Pelletier, director of business development, Novanergy. "We believe that soon we will be able to integrate our technology solutions to several facilities in the area to make it a unique model of its kind and become a leader in its field. The new location of Novanergy on René-Patenaude pleases Mrs. Vicky May Hamm who claimed: "We must continue the efforts to lure businesses into Magog’s promising fields. The acquisition of this building is the first concrete gesture made by the City of Magog under my administration, to revive our economy."
