25kV Substation Modification, Control and Protection for the Joliette Tandem Mixer Expansion Project

As part of the Bridgestone plant expansion project in Joliette involving the addition of a building, DAWCO's team was mandated to modify the 25kV electrical distribution.

The scope of the work involved :

- Civil works (excavation, formwork, concreting, piles and fencing);
- Installation of cable trays;
- Installation of 25kV, 13.8kV cables and controls;
- Termination of 25kV and 13.8kV cables;
- Installation of substation equipment (substation structure, disconnect switch, circuit breaker and 10MVA transformer);
- Modification of protection panels;
- Modification and programming of PLC and HMI;
- Testing and commissioning of equipment (25kV disconnector, 25kV circuit breaker, transformer, 25kV cables, 13.8kV cables, controls, 13.8kV cabinets and 480V cabinets).
